🚧 | Webuild has celebrated the latest tunnelling breakthrough on the Brenner Base Tunnel project

👉The longest railway tunnel in the world at 64km

👉The lot was worth €301M (£254M)

👉Employed around 250 people

👉Together the two tunnels make a 24.1km passage that which stretches from Brenner, on the border with Austria, to the town of Fortezza in the Italian Alp

👉The breakthrough came as Webuild’s tunnel boring machine completed its 4.5km drive under the Isarco River in northern Italy
