Sizewell C, the Stonehenge Tunnel and Northern Powerhouse Rail feature among a list of 138 projects to be accelerated as part of chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng’s Growth Plan 2022.
In a move to grow the economy, Kwarteng has today announced plans to accelerate new roads, rail and energy infrastructure.
Hinkley Point C is also included on the list, while other rail projects include East West Rail, the Transpennine Route Upgrade, Midland Mainline Phase 3 and Cambridge South station.
